As you know, there are many different worship styles used by congregations. The way we worship says a lot about our faith and beliefs. And so it is for St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Lockport. All of our worship services are divine services because of the the fact that the one true God – Father, Son and Holy Spirit – is present in every one of them. Worship is not about us. It is not about what we do, but what the Lord our God comes and does for us, in us, what He gives to us in each an every service – namely, forgiveness, the victory over death and the devil, eternal life, guidance and strength.
What words best describe worship at St. Paul’s? That’s easy – reverent, orderly, peaceful, meaningul, applicable, timely, comforting, reassuring and refreshing. And it is all because of the One who is the central focus of our worship, the clear focus of our sanctuary and our very lives day-in and day-out – namely, Jesus Christ.
