Sermon for Wednesday of Populus Zion

Dec 7, 2022    Rev. Christopher Antonetti

Our readings tonight are from Malachi and Matthew. Malachi is the last book of the Old Testament. Matthew is the first book of the New Testament. Between those books, in that one blank page in between, is 400 years. Back to the beginning of creation, 6000 years ago, God spoke through prophets – the patriarchs, Adam, Seth, Enoch, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and Joseph. He spoke through Moses who wrote down the law and the first five books of the Bible. Then God by the Holy Spirit spoke through many more prophets and leaders of Israel from the death of Moses for another 1000 years, until Malachi.
